The Imagining Climate Change initiative at the University of Florida engages scientists, artists, humanists, educators, students, and the public in the vital work of imagining our collective climate futures. Since 2015, ICC has sponsored or co-sponsored more than sixty colloquia, lectures, performances, readings, and film screenings on the UF campus and in the wider Gainesville, Florida, community, featuring internationally-renowned activists, creators, researchers, and scholars who represent a wide range of inventive responses to planetary environmental crisis and injustice. Working in collaboration with departments and programs from across the University and with local community groups and activists, the initiative has fostered interdisciplinary dialogue and reached diverse audiences in search of meaningful stories to tell and things to do in the face of climate calamity.
