On November 20–21, The Climate Reality Project presents “24 Hours of Reality: Truth in Action,” a global conversation on the truth of the climate crisis and how we solve it. For one full 24-hour period, Climate Reality Leader volunteers trained by former Vice President Al Gore will hold public presentations and conversations on our changing climate in schools, community centers, workplaces, and more across all 50 US states and countries worldwide.

For each audience member attending these events, One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation, will plant a tree on that person’s behalf.

About the Speaker

Deborah Scheuer is Emeritus Associate Professor of Physiology and Functional Genomics at the University of Florida. A lifelong environmental activist, she is a trained Leader in The Climate Reality Project and Chair of Climate Reality’s Gainesville Chapter.

This event is free and open to the public. No advance registration is required.

“The Climate Crisis and Its Solutions” is sponsored by the UF George A. Smathers Libraries Green Team, The Climate Reality Project, Gainesville Chapter, and Imagining Climate Change.
